Taramati is one of two peaks on Harishchandragad, a mountain plateau in the state of Maharashtra, India. This is the sixth highest peak in Maharashtra State (1431 m/ 4695 ft above sea level). Located atop the Harishchandragad plateau, the peak offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains in the Sahyadris range, including Kalsubai, the highest peak in Maharashtra.
The peak is named after Taramati, the wife of legendary king Harishchandra.
