Article too negative
Surely the phrase "state-owned propaganda machine" violates Wikipedia's policy for impartiality? LeetToTheBeatMakeItRoar (talk) 17:23, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, but it appears there are WP:COI or basic troll farms or state paid propaganda actors of the U.S. government's defence dpartment or their paid think-tanks on here who are actively changing Wikipedia to have everything the U.S. government's talking points should be about foreign entities. CaribDigita (talk) 11:24, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
- Well, at the very least - "propaganda machine" part is an epithet
if not straight down name-callingit's just not neutral, hands down. 2A00:1370:81A2:156:30F4:76F0:BD72:10BB (talk) 20:19, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
Weird style with headlines
Ridiculous, e.g. non-neutral line. Had the head paragraph omited Propaganda outlet notion, the head paragraph would be concise to read. "State-owned media" should have been enough, but noooooo~ 2A00:1370:81A2:156:30F4:76F0:BD72:10BB (talk) 20:21, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- Could you restate what your specific issue is? CCTV is a media outlet, and one that distributes propaganda. I really don't see how that's "non-neutral". Remsense留 23:08, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- Not even the lede for the North Korean KCTV network is this negative or directly describes it as a propaganda network and yet practically 100% of that networks programming is propaganda. I feel that dedicating all but one sentence of the intro paragraph to describing the criticism of an article's subject matter is fairly questionable. Spacefire2 (talk) 02:54, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
