Serafim Seppälä (born 1970[1]) is a Finnish academic researcher, writer, and Easten Orthodox archimandrite.[2] He serves as a professor of systematic theology and patristics at the University of Eastern Finland. Some of his research interests include the encounter between Christianity and Islam in the Middle East, Mariology, Armenia, and the Byzantine Empire.[3][4]
