New Market is a Thana of Dhaka District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.[5] New Market and Chandni Chowk is situated in this thana area.

Demographics

According to 2011 Census of Bangladesh, New Market Thana has a population of 49,523 with average household size of 6.3 members, and an average literacy rate of 86.7% vs national average of 51.8% literacy.[6]
