Kraľovany (Hungarian: Kralován) is a village and municipality in Dolný Kubín District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia. It lies at the confluence of the Orava and Váh rivers.
Geography
The municipality lies at an altitude of 430 metres (1,410 ft)[3] and covers an area of 18.80 km2 (7.26 sq mi) (2024).[4]
History
Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, Kraľovany was part of Árva County within the Kingdom of Hungary. From 1939 to 1945, it was part of the Slovak Republic.
