The Korfbal League 2 is the second highest echelon of indoor korfball in the Netherlands for indoor korfball.
The winner of the Korfbal League 2 gets automatic promotion to Korfbal League while the number 2 plays in a play-off round for promotion/relegation against the team placed on the 9th position in the Korfbal League division. The last two teams after the regular season relegate automatically to Hoofdklasse.
History
The Royal Dutch Korfball Association started the Korfbal League 2 in 2022 in order to increase the competitivity level for indoor korfball in The Netherlands. This was done by introducing Korfball League 2 as a league in between Korfbal League and the Hoofdklasse league.[1][2]
