Kalej Rural District (Persian: دهستان كالج)[5] is in the Central District of Nowshahr County, Mazandaran province, Iran.[6] Its capital is the village of Narenjbon.[3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 12,427 in 3,362 households.[7] There were 12,786 inhabitants in 3,818 households at the following census of 2011.[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 13,727 in 4,435 households. The most populous of its 17 villages was Vanush, with 2,669 people.[4]
