Summary

Description
English: Lap mu (Thai script: ลาบหมู) at a 24hr Isan (north-eastern Thai) karaoke bar in Bangkok which serves Isan food in the evenings until late at night. This particular version of the Isan minced pork salad was extremely spicy and contained copious amounts of ground dried chillies, ground roasted sticky rice (khao khua, giving the dish a nutty taste), culantro and mint. Raw vegetables such as yardlong beans and white cabbage, as well as Thai holy basil (bai kraphao) are served together with the lap as can be seen in the background of this photo. It is often, as in this photo, eaten with sticky rice (khao niao).
