Description |
Photograph of a small portion of a single frame of the MCA Discovision 1981 CLV pressing (laserdisc) of the film The Electric Horseman |
---|---|
Source |
Own photograph of playback of a rotted MCA Discovision disc |
Article | |
Portion used |
Tiny. Small, unimportant fraction (less than 1/8th) of a single field of a single frame of a feature film. Would not even be usable to replace a screenshot of the frame in question, and is damaged anyway (see purpose). |
Low resolution? |
Yes - although the photograph is a slightly higher resolution, the actual amount of the resolution is about 1/8th of a field of the original. |
Purpose of use |
To illustrate the visible effects of laser-rot on a laserdisc. |
Replaceable? |
I am unaware of any public domain content on a rotted laserdisc (since all LDs are post 1978). I would be happy to be corrected by a replacement screenshot. |
