This music image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with
{{vector version available|new image name}} .
It is recommended to name the SVG file “Conga tumbao.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter. |

This row shows the standard counting names of the notes. They provide a way for a percussionist to count the pulses (here, 16) that make up the measure. Every quarter-note (fourth) pulse is given a consecutive number: "one", "two", "three", "four". Every other eighth-note (second, sixth, tenth and fourteenth) pulse has the count "and", usually written "+" or "&". Every other sixteenth-note pulse has the count "e" (pronounced "eh") or "a" (pronounced "ah"). Saying these names while hearing or playing a rhythm helps the percussionist learn it.
