• Delete, fails the WP:GNG; modern media with space to fill report almost anything, this is no more notable than a burst water main in a road ([1] [2] [3] [4]). The reason the nominator mentioned bird strikes in Australia is that I used the aircraft bird strike rate for Australia (almost 2000 a year) in a deletion discussion a few weeks ago. In the UK in 2013 (the most recent year for which data are available) there were more than 1500 reported aircraft bird strikes, so this is literally an everyday event.
