ScrabbleTiles (talk) 15:30, 3 April 2025 (UTC)Liangjiang New Area
Thank you for partially updating the List of administrative divisions of Chongqing article. I have questions about the upgrading of the Liangjiang New Area to an administrative district that, unfortunately, I couldn't quite understand in the translated version of the source you provided. So, does the Liangjiang New Area administrative district cover the exact same area as the New Area did before the upgrade? Also, there is mention that Jiangbei and Yubei districts are absolished...but there were parts of those districts that laid outside of the New Area? Which districts were those outside areas transfered to? I'd be very helpful if we could see a map showing the New Area over the previous district boundaries. Criticalthinker (talk) 07:04, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
- Liangjiang is consisted of ⑴the whole Jiangbei ⑵the whole Yubei except for five towns ⑶five towns and subdistricts of Beibei. The five towns of Yubei which are not part of Liangjiang were transferred to Beibei. As for maps, you may search the Internet as currently I couldn't find a map for this with English annotations. Greencarp (talk) 05:19, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. Also, I've left some comments on the Talk:New areas which I've tried to rewrite, and see if you could answer some of the questions I've left. For instance, for state-level new areas, what are the base political units? Like I said, you can see that they can take in parts of county-level districts, so does that mean they include whole townships-level districts or can they include even units smaller than whole townships?
