Needs to be reconfirmed but I believe his favorite song is the song from the Fiddler on the Roof. "To life To life Lechaim"101.51.238.196 (talk) 15:43, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
Employment for children of employee victims of 9/11
Needs source but in interview with Poppy Harlow on CNN he said the company will be providing jobs in future for all children of their employees who died on 9/11. 68.231.27.254 (talk) 00:37, 11 September 2016 (UTC)

This entire article is PR bullshit. End of story. It ignores mountains of evidence that he directly helped cause the deaths of Cantor employees on 9/11 with a corporate culture of fear, and then completely tried to abandon taking care of victims families...But then goes into depth on his alleged philanthropy at that time with PR puff pieces? This is ridiculous and Wiki should be ashamed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.108.72.179 (talk) 22:54, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
"Philanthropist"
@ElijahPepe, there aren't many refs in the philanthropy section that can be checked due to being books, but the one accessible link didn't describe him as such (elsewhere online there is one hyperpartisan site that does, though) and I noticed that there are many other articles with philanthropy sections which don't describe the subject as a philanthropist as the second noun in the intro, so what makes him so crucial to philanthropy that this is absolutely necessary? 92.21.81.124 (talk) 08:57, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
Semi-protected edit request on 11 March 2025
Delete the following sentence: "According to The New York Times, the home—among other properties, including Scott Bessent's Federal house on N Street—developed Washington, D.C.'s real estate market."
Why? 1) It is a poorly written/structured sentence. 2) it does not add directly relevant information regarding Lutnick's DC real estate holdings. It also misinterprets the source article by claiming that a group of people "developed the market" when the article just states that conservatives in the current administration have bought a number of valuable home properties in DC. "experiencing"
"Cantor began experiencing kidney dialysis,"
One does not "experience" dialysis.
72.180.111.79 (talk) 14:49, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
- Done; changed to "began undergoing kidney dialysis". BBQboffingrill me 17:30, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
- "Beginning in 1990, Cantor began undergoing kidney dialysis, leading to ..." What does the source say?72.180.111.79 (talk) 16:29, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
- Ah, yes, that's redundant, thanks. The NYT source says: "Mr. Cantor, a diabetic, has required regular kidney dialysis since 1990 and has lost much of his eyesight to retinal bleeding. He experienced a medical crisis in late December and was hospitalized in New York for several weeks." I trimmed the Cantor medical details, since he isn't the article subject. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! BBQboffingrill me 04:26, 31 March 2025 (UTC)

Use of US$
Article uses "US$" throughout, for example "US$33 million". This reduces readability and contradicts the guidance in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style, which states "Use the full abbreviation on first use (US$ for the US dollar and A$ for the Australian dollar), unless the currency is already clear from context." The context is clear here that US dollars are meant (he is an American who has lived his entire life in the US and had only US-based businesses). It is also not used in Wikipedia articles for any other prominent American businessman (Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos). Recommend changing this to (e.g.) "$33 million". Addition of "government official"?
In the introduction to Lutnick's page, he is described as an "American billionare businessman". Should I edit this to also include "government official" or some other adjective? Logana350xwb (talk) 01:44, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
Epstein's
he was Epstein's neibour ? 2605:59C0:3111:9B10:9018:DDF7:20AD:46A6 (talk) 01:00, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
- Is that of encyclop(a)edic interest ? Imho not. What exactly do you propose for the article?
- btw: newsweek.com has written that Epstein's "infamous townhouse at 9 East 71st Street in Manhattan, also known as the Herbert N. Straus House—had significant links to the adjacent property, which real estate records show is still owned by Lutnick." (I don't know what 'significant links' means) --Vieilissant (talk) 05:21, 3 August 2025 (UTC)
Lutnick said he wants i-phones to be produced in the U.S.
(really or just Symbolic politics - we don't know)
Lutnick: "I talked to Tim Cook the other day and said [..] When are you going to bring the iPhone manufacturing here?" "He said, 'I need to have the robotic arms to do it at a scale and and precision that would allow me to bring it here"
Apple reportedly flew 600 tons of iPhones into the country in response – 1.5m devices.

- It is broad in its coverage.
- a (major aspects):
b (focused):
- Based on my recollection of the Lutnik episode of the All-In (podcast), I can state for a fact that the article is not comprehensive. I don't know where else in the PD, content regarding Lutnik's and Trump's palling around can be found, but Trump and Lutnik were running buddies back in the day. Minor fact I guess. Comprehensiveness is not required for a WP:GA, however. It only need be broad. I also assume that when Lutnik was a high profile person in 2001, there was a lot of media on him as a person. This article essentially only discusses him at Cantor and in the Government. I am wondering what profiles of him said at that time and earlier. Again not required for GA.
