"Shafi'i"

There's not a single piece of information, a single WP:RS source saying some Barelvis adhere to the Shafi'i school. The entire article only states the Hanafi school, to which all Barelvi scholars adhered (Ahmad Raza Khan and his family, Abdul Hamid Qadri Badayuni, Ahmad Saeed Kazmi, Amjad Ali Aazmi, Ilyas Qadri etc. and all others in the 'Notable scholars' section). Barelvi books such as Fatawa-i Razawiyya, Zujajat al-Masabih, Manaqib-al-Jaleela are all Hanafi law works and all Barelvi madrasas listed in the article are Hanafi, not a single Shafi'i reference! The claim that Barelvis in Southern India adhere to Shafi'ism is simply incorrect; Sufis in southern India do in fact adhere to the Shafi'i school, although they are not specifically Barelvis, such as Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, E. K. Aboobacker Musliyar, Abdurahman Al Bukhari. There's a difference between regular Sufis and Barelvis. 39.62.223.58 (talk) 07:41, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I follow the Barelvi school and I want to correct misinformation. Barelvis do not follow Shafi'i fiqh, instead we follow Hanafi fiqh since the foundation of Manzar-e-Islam in Bareilly. Not any of our ulama are Shafi'i. Thanks! Mohammad Anas Qadri (talk) 18:42, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. MadGuy7023 (talk) 18:53, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hazir o nazir

I am removing false claim that Barelvi Sunni say that Prophet peace be upon him is hazir o nazir. This is a lie promoted by Deobandi Wahabi. Barelvi Sunni only believe Allah is hazir o nazir. Anything else is complete shirk!! Maslak e Haq (talk) 23:39, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from removing information cited by WP:RS. --HistoryofIran (talk) 23:43, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry I did not Know. I will Add references for this. Barelvi Sunni Ahle Sunnat believe that Prophet peace be upon him was hazir o nazir in the sense that he is alive in the world and did not die as Deobandi Wahabi claim naozobillah min zalek. Barelvi Sunni only believe that Prophet is spiritually present and not physically present so He is not ruler of entire universe or Allah himself as is wrongly said that Barelvi belief this. To prove this I add reference of a book Diverse Narratives and Shared Beliefs. Also Bro please do not remove my info on Urs. Barelvi Sunni believe Urs is a spirirual event in which man gets connected to saint of God or Auliya Kiram. For Urs I add Reference on book Pilgrims of Love. Again sorry if my edit caused any issue I will Make sure to add References Sir! Maslak e Haq (talk) 00:43, 6 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Usually look for academic (of professors) references. You can look for such references at https://scholar.google.com/ , https://books.google.co.in/
You can refer to reliable academic references from other languages too provided you provide original paragraph page number and proper translation.
It's always better discuss your proposed changes first on the talk page. You can ask additional help at WP:Teahouse Bookku (talk) 03:12, 6 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ok Sir Thank you for the Advice I will make sure to do that from now! Maslak e Haq (talk) 03:55, 6 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
