Summary

Description
English: Version of AS15-95-12997 where brightness and contrast are adjusted in order to see features. Tycho crater is on the horizon, with its bright rays that dominate the scene for hundreds of kilometers. Maurolycus and Barocius craters are in the middle foreground and are east of Tycho. This was taken around the time of trans-Earth injection of the Apollo 15 mission.
