Coronavirus should refer to the family coronaviridae, not specifically the subfamily Orthocoronavirinae
According to the following, coronavirus refers to the family Coronaviridae.
"The particles are typically decorated with large, club- or petal-shaped surface projections (the “peplomers” or “spikes”), which in electron micrographs of spherical particles create an image reminiscent of the solar corona. This inspired the name of the “true” coronaviruses (now grouped in the subfamily Coronavirinae), which was later adopted for the whole family."

- That sounds reasonable. "Coronavirus, any virus belonging to the family Coronaviridae." 1101 (talk) 07:23, 17 March 2025 (UTC)

- Thanks for the modification. In the classification infobox, I suggest ending at family Coronaviridae and underneath change the genera box into a subfamilies box. The most recent classification from ICTV include three subfamilies: Letovirinae, Orthocoronavirinae, and Pitovirinae. The last one being new.

- Furthermore, with the inclusion of the subfamilies Letovirinae and Pitovirinae, the host range in the article should be updated from bird and mammals to birds, mammals, amphibians, and bony fish.
- Quotation "Coronaviridae
- Coronaviridae, are a family of viruses in the order Nidovirales. The family are enveloped positive-sense RNA viruses that are known to infect four classes of vertebrates: mammals and birds, amphibians and bony fish."

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. UmbyUmbreon (talk) 04:03, 23 July 2025 (UTC)

Change header "Microbiology" to "Virology"
Virology is a subfield of microbiology. However, in practice, they are more like sister fields. This section describes virological properties of the coronaviruses. Other similar pages, such as those for Adenoviridae, Pneumoviridae, Herpesvirales, and Microviridae use "Virology" rather than "Microbiology". Thanks!! Altoeclef (talk) 06:00, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
