I recently finished reading Salim Jiwa's excellent book Margin of Terror regarding this tragedy and the subsequent investigation, and found many details in it that seem to be danced around in this article. I was considering going through and gradually adding these in.

However, I wanted to check first what the consensus is amongst editors with respect to his reliability (in a WP:RS sense, of course) on this subject, given that his narrative and interpretation do differ in some areas from the official line (e.g. considering Hardial Singh Johal to have been the mastermind while assuming Ripudaman Singh Malik to have been innocent and framed – not that these should have an impact on statements of fact, in theory).
