This template should be only added to articles which are listed on the template. Note that the footer version has no such restriction.
This template includes collapsible lists.
- To set it to display all lists when it appears (i.e. all lists expanded), use:

{{Liberalism sidebar|expanded=all}}or{{Liberalism sidebar|all}}(i.e. omitting|expanded=).
- To set it to display one particular list while keeping the remainder collapsed (i.e. hidden apart from their headings), use:

{{Liberalism sidebar|expanded=listname}}or{{Liberalism sidebar|listname}} - ...where listname is one of the following (do not include any quotemarks):
- "history", "ideas", "schools", "people", "orgs", "regional variants", "related"
- For example,
{{Liberalism sidebar|expanded=people}}or{{Liberalism sidebar|people}}
For "organisations" use |sp=uk.
