August 2025
Regarding this revert, are you aware of WP:ITHAT? Thanks --Jameboy (talk) 13:18, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
Why did you remove the periods in the Bunk'd cast list? Legobro99 (talk) 00:52, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
Please see this. Legobro99 (talk) 01:45, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
Happy Birthday!
About your revert at Jessie (2011 TV series)
This revert in particular. I know I brought this specific name up on the talk page of another series ... see Talk:Richie Rich (2015 TV series)#Murray actress deadname. Seems an editor attempted to change the name of an actor over there, Joshua Carlon, who went from being a male to a female, and it clearly goes against MOS:TVCAST. Plus they used X to back their claim when it wasn't a verified account. They cited MOS:ID for the gender identity thing, and I pointed out I wasn't fully informed about how much of a conflict this is in the television project (that guideline vs. MOS:TV), and likely all of Wikipedia. I recall hearing there have been plenty of edit wars around this, but I referred them to the talk pages for the television project and to bring up the matter there.
Oh, unlike J.J. Totah, Carlon as well as Cecilia Balagot (there have been changes to that name at least a few times at List of Girl Meets World characters) do not have Wikipedia articles. Wow, quite a few gender identity switches in recent years, probably plenty more than I could recall. MPFitz1968 (talk) 18:19, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
- I've previously tried to change Josie's name at Jessie before, myself, because of how the MOS handles gender identity. I only really backed off because while I didn't quite agree with the rationale presented for reverting me back then, Josie was out to her mother but just not publicly when she started taking roles under her former stage name, so I could get the potential logic that J.J. may not be a deadname (plus I asked for clarity about the MOS/guidelines at the LGBTQ Wikiproject and it was suggested that in this case the change was maybe not as imperative as changing a deadname). However, I came here myself because I don't think the linked revert was an appropriate use of rollback specifically. The IP editor was likely acting in good faith, and in that kind of reversion you'd not want to use rollback (or rather, it'd be more appropriate to provide an edit summary, which rollback can't do unless paired with special tools to allow it). - Purplewowies (talk) 19:33, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
