User talk:GothicGolem29
Welcome!
Hello, GothicGolem29, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Council of Twelve (San Marino), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.
Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

Speedy deletion nomination of Council of Twelve (San Marino)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Council of Twelve (San Marino) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.sanmarinosite.com/en/institutions/council-of-xii/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Wikipedia and copyright
Hello GothicGolem29! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 12:03, 16 August 2023 (UTC)

{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. Bbb23 (talk) 13:49, 22 November 2023 (UTC)- GothicGolem29, I wanted to warn you that if you continue to insist on your version in Scottish Labour, Scottish Conservatives, or any related article after expiration of this latest block, you will likely be blocked indefinitely.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:52, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Why am I being blocked?? There is no consensus in Scottish conservatives so I don’t see why I can’t edit that and no one has engaged there. As for Scottish labour I tried to find a compromise by inserting organisation so why am I blocked for that with literally zero discussion? GothicGolem29 (talk) 00:24, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

Relisting CfDs
Hey @GothicGolem29, I was looking at the recent relists you made at CfD. Unlike at AfD, even 1 support in a decently small nomination with no opposition can be closed as successful. Basically, the bar for closing is much lower than other XfD venues, thanks to the less people who participate in it. So, for such discussions please do go ahead and just close them. :) Best, ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 13:54, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
- If an alternate proposal was suggested by the voter though, then you can relist them to see if folks support it. Eg. Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2025 November 5#Category:Cricket grounds in the Caribbean ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 13:55, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice @Bunnypranav I did not realise that the bar was lower than in AFD I will go ahead and close those ones next time(and will relist for alternative proposals as well as noms without any !votes from non nominators whoch is what I think you meant.) GothicGolem29 (Talk) 14:18, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
- No worries, and thanks for your contributions to CfD! (your interpretation of my comment is correct btw) :) ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 15:51, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
- Related note, we generally do not add the headers daily in WT:CFD/W; see a comment on the same page. We only need to add headers when the sections get too long, usually 5-7 days. Best, :) ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 13:53, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks so I should add any new ones below yours in the current section without a header? GothicGolem29 (Talk) 13:55, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, just go ahead with what the script does, no manual action needed. Once in a while you can go ahead and add section. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 14:16, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
- What script? My AFD closure does not auto list there and I have no other script(thats probably why I did it wrong I was doing it manually and saw the extended headings above and thought that was what I needed to do.) GothicGolem29 (Talk) 14:36, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
- Oh, I am sorry that I assumed you had it installed. See User:Qwerfjkl/scripts/CFDlister. That will immensely help in listing CfDs for action. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 14:38, 7 November 2025 (UTC)

ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:59, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
New page reviewer granted

Hi GothicGolem29, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.
This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:
- Add Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers to your watchlist to follow NPP-related discussions
- If you use Twinkle, configure it to log your CSDs and PRODs
- If you can read any languages other than English, add yourself to the list of reviewers with language proficiencies
You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! Sohom (talk) 14:24, 19 November 2025 (UTC)

Sources needed for Days of the Year pages
I see you recently accepted a pending change to April 22 that did not include a direct source.
Days of the year articles require direct sources are required for all new additions. For details see the edit notice on that page, the content guideline and/or the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide.
All new additions to the DOY pages without references are now being either reverted on-sight or in some cases where the patroller is especially motivated, immediately sourced. I've gone ahead and backed this edit out.
All the pages in the Days of the Year project have had pending changes protection turned on to prevent vandalism and further addition of entries without direct sources. As a pending changes patroller, it's not required but it sure would be helpful if you didn't accept additions to day of year pages where no direct source has been provided on that day of year page. The burden to provide sources for additions to these pages is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages.
Thank you and please keep up your good work! Toddst1 (talk) 14:54, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hello thanks for the kind words at the end and the response! I accepted that edit based on the guidance at WP:RPC but if it is preferred those sorts of edits not be accepted on DOY pages I will bear that in mind for the future. GothicGolem29 (Talk) 15:18, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

Administrator Elections - Call for Candidates
The administrator elections process has officially started! Interested editors are encouraged to self-nominate or arrange to be nominated by reviewing the instructions at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/December 2025/Candidates.
Here is the schedule:
- November 25 – December 1 - Call for candidates
- December 4–8 - Discussion phase
- December 9–15 - SecurePoll voting phase
Please note the following:
- The requirements to run are identical to RFA—a prospective candidate must be extended confirmed.
- Prospective candidates are advised to become familiar with the community's expectations of administrators, which are much higher than the minimum requirement of having extended confirmed status. This includes reviewing successful and unsuccessful RFAs, reading the essay Wikipedia:Advice for admin elections candidates, and possibly requesting an optional poll on their chances of passing.
- The process will have a seven day call for candidates phase, a two day pause, a five day discussion phase, and a seven day private vote using SecurePoll. Discussion and questions are only allowed on the candidate pages during the discussion phase.
- The outcome of this process is identical to making a request for adminship. There is no official difference between an administrator appointed through RFA versus administrator elections.
- Administrator elections are also a valid means of regaining adminship for de-sysopped editors.
Ask any questions about the process at the talk page. Later, a user talk message will be sent to official candidates with additional information about the process.
If you are interested in the process, please make sure to watchlist the appropriate pages. A watchlist notice will be added when the discussion phase opens, and again when the voting phase opens.

Administrator Elections - Discussion Phase
The discussion phase of the December 2025 administrator elections is officially open. As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:
- Dec 4–8 - Discussion phase (we are here)
- Dec 9–15 - SecurePoll voting phase
- Scrutineering phase
We are currently in the discussion phase. The candidate subpages are open to questions and comments from everyone, in the same style as a request for adminship. You may discuss the candidates at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/December 2025/Discussion phase.
On December 9, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's totals during the election. You must be extended confirmed to vote.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which typically lasts between a couple days and a week. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page (you may want to watchlist this page) and transcluded to the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate who has not been recalled must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and must also have received a minimum of 20 support votes. A candidate that has been recalled must have at least 55.0% support. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

Upcoming expiry of your patroller right
Hi, this is an automated reminder as part of Global reminder bot to let you know that your permission "patroller" (New page reviewers) will expire on 00:00, 1 January 2026 (UTC). For most rights, you will need to renew at WP:PERM, unless you have been told otherwise when your right was approved. To opt out of user right expiry notifications, add yourself to m:Global reminder bot/Exclusion. Leaderbot (talk) 19:43, 28 December 2025 (UTC)
