Janova Lehota (German: Drexlerhau, Drechslerhau; Hungarian: Jánosgyarmat) is a village and municipality in Žiar nad Hronom District in the Banská Bystrica Region of central Slovakia.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 418 metres (1,371 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 17.67 km² (6.82 sq mi) (2024).^[4]

In historical records, the village was first mentioned in 1487 as a German settlement founded by a certain Drexler and belonging to Esztergom archbishopric. In 1776 it passed to Banská Bystrica bishopric.

It has a population of 917 people (31 December 2024).^[6]

In year 2021 was 939 people by ethnicity 877 as Slovak, 44 as Not found out, 12 as Czech, 8 as Rusyn, 5 as Ukrainian, 4 as Romani, 4 as German, 1 as Irish, 1 as Vietnamese, 1 as Polish and 1 as Other.
