    Being "detained" may be defining for some fictional characters, but not by all. It varies wildly by story. As I noted elsewhere, this is a trope for superheroes and their adversaries, as well as crime fiction in general. There's also the question of length of time. If you hold someone's wrist for a few seconds, you have detained them. And how much of a mention was it? A throwaway line by an author to explain why a character hasn't shown up until now - a not uncommon occurrence in soap operas.     Many acts of terrorism are not massacres, they are not a sub kind of massacres. Terrorism often does not kill people. (I don't even think we should have massacre categories but that's a topic for another CfD...)   • Support idea of upmerging, but I disagree with Marcocapelle's idea of deleting them as anachronistic. Provided they are labeled terrorism by reliable sources looking back at the events it's not any less accurate than a contemporary source describing it as that - probably more accurate.
