It seems that you have customized your signature so that the text of the link to this page looks like an IP address rather than a username. This is highly misleading and may be considered a form of signature forgery. Please replace the IP address in your signature with your username or something that conforms to the custom signature policy, or simply stop using a custom signature (by blanking the signature textbox and unchecking "Treat the above as wiki markup"). • You may also have noted that I have stopped actively editing Wikipedia (for reasons I prefer to keep to myself). I cannot remove my user identity so I prefer to use my IP address. I'll be honest, I am not that well off and I have had to disconnect from internet a few times. This also means that my IP address has changed a few times. I do not bother changing it. If this means users consider me a troll, sock puppet or anything else malignant, so be it. I do not make the rules. I cannot be bothered to keep up with the regulations, I contribute because I feel sharing knowledge is a good thing for mankind. I try to reference my contributions, as was usual when Wikipedia started. Nowadays I only contribute about things which are important in my mind. Usually places I have visited recently or people that I have met or have impressed me. Wikipedia is full of things that should not be there, my absence will probably go unnoticed.     • Thank you for doing that, but you are not using your IP address, inasmuch as you are logged in as the user JHvW, as recorded in the page history of this page and in your contributions (and not in the sense that everyone needs an IP address to connect to the internet and transfer data to and from servers).
