Lead paragraph and format

I reverted Tbf62's changes to the lead, but am happy to discuss them here. The lead paragraph should exclusively be focussed on what makes the article subject notable. The comings and goings of members, and who's been in the band the longest, are not what makes ELO notable and belong in later paragraphs in the lead or the history section.

In fact, the lead paragraph still spends too much time on discussing the formation and early days of ELO. I would suggest that content from the last paragraph better belongs in the first. Discuss the pinnacles of the band's history, this is what they are most notable for. While Roy Wood is, of course, an important figure in the band's history, his departure is not what the band is notable for, and he was not around for the vast majority of the band's time or success. This is detail that should be left until later. Escape Orbit (Talk) 13:29, 4 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Scandal unmentioned

Why is there no mention of the allegation that ELO used tapes to augment or replace their actual playing at a Silverdome concert? Even if it was untrue, it was big news at the time.
