Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, JETH888 (message) 17:10, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, wikis, personal websites, and websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight. These sources may express views that are widely acknowledged as pushing a particular point-of-view, sometimes even extremist, being promotional in nature, or relying heavily on rumors and personal opinions. One of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. If you require further assistance, please look at Help:Menu/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse. Thank you. Cyberlink420 (talk) 00:24, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you're looking for sources to cite, please use those listed as "reliable" on WP:VG/RS. This custom search engine can even be used to search within all reliable sites, which might make finding sources to support your claims easier. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 22:00, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Julius Erving, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page MVP. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 08:09, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

March 2025

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Ateneo de Manila University has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. To clarify, adding a link is not fixing a typo. Thanks. signed, Pat talk 11:07, 30 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Marugamirica! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Asmongold and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia: it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Marcus Markup (talk) 18:31, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on HRVVMC (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is:

  • a disambiguation page with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" which lists only one extant Wikipedia page (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • a disambiguation page that lists zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • a redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" whose target is neither a disambiguation page nor page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. CycloneYoris talk! 05:50, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Knee (gamer), requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Already contested. See the talk page for Knee (gamer). Marugamirica (talk) 15:16, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
But why did you remove speedy delete notice/tag from the article. You are not supposed do youself. An admin/experienced editor will judge and take decision. Agent 007 (talk) 15:35, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Knee (gamer). Agent 007 (talk) 14:49, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to the talk page for Knee (gamer). The arbitrary labels of mere sponsorship or lacking in significance are not supported by any facts as of today. Any quick search on the figure immediately proves otherwise and justifies his inclusion in Wikipedia. Marugamirica (talk) 15:15, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
An admin/other editor will judge and remove the delete tag if its notable and if not notable, it will get deleted. Don't remove the tags youself as its constitute an act of vandalism. My selection of warning level may be wrong for which I am asking to forgive but don't remove speedy delete tags yourself. Please follow What to do if your article gets tagged for speedy deletion. Please correct @Bbb23: if I am wrong. Agent 007 (talk) 15:32, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable non-free use File:E.T. The King of SNK.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:E.T. The King of SNK.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:19, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Knee (gamer).jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Knee (gamer).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Pbrks (t·c) 12:31, 6 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Copy @Pbrks. I thought it counted because the Arslan Ash page and other pages used the same rationale. Since many pages tend to have a photo under this rule, but thank you. Marugamirica (talk) 11:36, 11 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Marugamirica. The file File:Arslan Ash 2019 interview.jpg is free-to-use since the original author released it under a Creative Commons license. The images you uploaded are fully copyrighted, so Wikipedia cannot use them unless it is under fair use, which means it has to meet these 10 requirements. Generally speaking, most images are not permitted under fair use. – Pbrks (t·c) 11:47, 11 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
