Welcome to my User page My name is John Joy, and I use the pronouns "he" and "him. You can as well call me by my acronyms, JJK or JJ for short. I was born in Otan Ayegbaju, Osun State, Nigeria. I have been a part of the Wikimedia community since 2018. I have since participated in a series of campaigns and contests and held a number of events. I am a student of political science, a researcher, a serial entrepreneur, a tech enthusiast, and a Human Resource personnel.

I joined Wikipedia during a meetup at the University of Ibadan by the Wikimedia Fan Club, UI, in 2018. It took me about a year before I saw the need to be part of the community. In 2020, before the COVID-19 lockdown, I was elected second president of the fan club, an office I hold till September 2023.
