Thank you very much for this! I'm mostly on wikidata right now, but hope to get back to en-wp :) Your username prompts vivid childhood memories for me. My father once had a Triumph Herald which (as a political candidate in the early 1970s) he painted fluorescent orange and attempted to supercharge. The result was that for a while it was embarrassingly distinctive in appearance, made extra noise and broke down sporadically. I have vivid childhood memories of this Herald, though by my time the paint had softened with mildew. A panel in an entirely different colour also appeared for a while...
