Prices of acids
I want to add a additional clarification to the claims that sulfuric acid costs $0.40/liter and nitric $1.50/liter, but want to gather any input others may have. While it seems sourced in an overview article, and is surely regional, those prices seem extraordinarily low. In the United States, nitric acid is closer to $30-60/Liter. ($30 would be considered a very "good" price.) Sulfuric is much cheaper--can be purchased for $10/L. Still significantly higher than these in the article.Jtrnp (talk) 18:47, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
No source for claim that Muslims commit most acid attacks in India
The source cited mentions nothing about Islam in the context of India, instead it only mentions Bangladesh economically. There is no recent data or evidence to backup claim, should be removed Gormehta (talk) 20:44, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
Taking issue with displayed photo on article
With this particular issue being so prevalent in violent gender-based attacks primarily on women, I feel the choice to have the main photo displaying a male victim as questionable. Highlighting the fact that males can be victims of this type of crime should be included, but I find it problematic that this could be considered more important than making it clear that women are more often affected by these attacks. Using a photo of a female victim for a crime that is far more prevalent in this particularly vulnerable group can help one firmly understand that this is primarily a gender-based assault affecting women. I take issue with the choice to use a photo of a male victim when it may mislead readers into thinking there is no gender-based discrepancy with incidence of these attacks. 2601:189:4400:DF50:5D30:9439:E0C2:27FD (talk) 01:34, 28 July 2025 (UTC)
