Lyric not mentioned in target. Rusalkii (talk) 23:25, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Delete it's not catchy or memorable; IMO, nobody will take the trouble to type this out fully. Nor are we a lyric website. Plant🌱man (talk) 02:05, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
- Delete, it might be one of the first lyrics of the song, but it’s not the most memorable, well-known, or significant. And as you said, it’s not mentioned at all in the article. Most people trying to look for a song based on lyrics would probably use Google or Genius rather than Wikipedia. ApexParagon (talk) 15:14, 10 April 2025 (UTC)

- It’s not mentioned in the actual article though. Plant🌱man (talk) 03:02, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
- Delete, same reason as the Not Like Us lyric. Lyric isn’t the most memorable, well-known, or significant, and isn’t mentioned in the article of the song at all. ApexParagon (talk) 15:21, 10 April 2025 (UTC)

Implausible search term. A is not next to E on the keyboard, so less likely then say for example "Taylor Swidt" (as D is right next to F on the keyboard). Cyber the tiger🐯 (talk) 20:15, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Keep. Again, there's a pretty healthy search interest on Google Trends. Also, unlike Melon Musk (where there's a plausible alternative primary topic), this phrase seems to be much more closely associated with Elon Musk, so I don't see anywhere else this redirect could be retargeted. Duckmather (talk) 20:26, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Keep. There are lots of results for this highly plausible misspelling (it's not a typo, Alon (name) and Elon (name) are alternative transliterations of the same Hebrew name (אֵילוֹן)), and while not all of them are about the DOGE supremo he is the only topic that is notable and thus primary topic. Thryduulf (talk) 00:56, 5 April 2025 (UTC)

Implausible search term. If you look up "melon musk" on Google then the main results are of memes. I would go for a deletion. Cyber the tiger🐯 (talk) 20:10, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Don't delete. I agree that "Melon Musk" is a meme, but I would disagree with your claim that it's an implausible search term as it has quite a nontrivial search volume on Google Trends. However, at least according to Google Trends, it seems to be more associated with muskmelons than with Elon Musk, so maybe it should be retargeted there? I'm not sure. Ambiguous term. Also the target article does not mention the iconic sunburst chairs. Cyber the tiger🐯 (talk) 20:03, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Retarget to Madison, Wisconsin#Attractions and museums, where some mention is provided. We don't have any other sort of notable "terrace chair" because the only other meaning of "terrace chair" is "chair that belongs on a terrace". Plant🌱man (talk) 02:59, 5 April 2025 (UTC)

There's no Glen Oaks, Wisconsin. There is a neighborhood of that name but it's not mentioned in the target article. Cyber the tiger🐯 (talk) 19:59, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Comment Montello (town), Wisconsin mentions in the lead that it also includes the unincorporated community of Glen Oak, Wisconsin. If this redirect is not deleted, Montello (town), Wisconsin and the target of this redirect should be linked by {{Redirect-distinguish}} hatnotes. Thryduulf (talk) 01:01, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
- Delete - if you search up "Glen Oaks, Wisconsin" in Google Maps, you won't get any results. Searching "Glen Oak" gives you a result that's not too far from Montello, but a redirect of that name already exists, and "Glen Oaks" is decidedly not the same thing as "Glen Oak". Unlikely search term. There's no Darwin in Wisconsin, and we don't need this redirecting to a city of a completely different name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CyberTheTiger (talk • contribs)
- Delete the GNIS has an entry for "Darwin (historical)" in Wisconsin at coordinates 43°07′43″N 89°21′07″W / 43.1286058°N 89.3520621°W[1] which is within the borders of Madison as shown on Google Maps. The target article does not mention the school. Although it mentions the church, the church is not the same thing as the school. Cyber the tiger🐯 (talk) 19:47, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
KeepIt's a K-8 parochial school in Madison, associated with Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. The church does not have its own article so the municipality is the normal redirect target. It's simple enough to add a mention of the school to the Education or Religion sections if needed. Meters (talk) 20:46, 4 April 2025 (UTC)- Retarget to Redeemer Lutheran School DAB per Carguychris. The link entry for this school in that DAB goes to Madison, Wisconsin as expected. Meters (talk) 07:23, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- Retarget to Redeemer Lutheran School, which is WP:DAB page of schools with similar names. A Google search reveals at least six other schools of this exact name in the United States, along with numerous others named Redeemer Lutheran School or Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran School. Schools tend not to be Wikinotable per WP:ROTM, so there is no compelling reason for the redirect to favor one over the others. Carguychris (talk) 17:16, 5 April 2025 (UTC)

- All 16 results on my Wikipedia search are about the fire department in Wisconsin. -- Tavix (talk) 21:05, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
- Perhaps Wikipedia does not have enough coverage of the other Madison fire departments. It's not like we're a search engine. People come from everywhere to look up stuff on Wikipedia; what guarantees that they are looking for the Wisconsin one specifically? Plant🌱man (talk) 21:09, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
- First of all, the Wisconsin fire department is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. It is much more likely that someone searching for a "Madison Fire Department" would be searching for the one in Wisconsin over any others. Madison, Wisconsin is a major city with a population of 269,840. Madison, Idaho (???), Madison, New Jersey (pop. 16,937), Madison, California (pop. 721) do not come close. I bring up Wikipedia results because that's what that matters: we're on Wikipedia, not Google! If by some chance a searcher is looking for a different fire department, we have no information to give them—so they best we can do is give them information on the one department we do have information for. -- Tavix (talk) 21:17, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Tavix Eh, fair enough, I guess. Still have a lot to learn. Plant🌱man (talk) 21:19, 8 April 2025 (UTC)

That said, none of the other fire departments that Thryduulf listed is covered on Wikipedia as far as I can tell so such a disambiguation would fail WP:DABMENTION. -- Tavix (talk) 21:05, 8 April 2025 (UTC)

President Elon Musk
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was retarget to Political activities of Elon Musk#United States. There was no consensus for deletion of these redirects. The two main targets discussed were Elon Musk and Political activities of Elon Musk#United States. The arguments in favor of retargeting to Political activities of Elon Musk#United States were stronger, based on sources that show these terms are primarily used by Musk's detractors and the fact that these terms are discussed in a paragraph at that target. The best arguments in favor of keeping the redirect to Elon Musk were based on his role as president of the Musk Foundation, but others argued that these terms are unlikely to be used to refer to him in that context; several other comments in favor of keeping were vague. This would probably be a better redirect to criticism about Musk's role in the US federal government then his main article. cookie monster 755 11:04, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
- Retarget to Opposition to Elon Musk's role in the US federal government. WhatamIdoing (talk) 19:25, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
- Comment: the Opposition to Elon Musk's role in the US federal government article now focuses solely on lawsuits involving DOGE and is itself in the midst of a move discussion to make that clear. There may be a better target than the Elon Musk article, but Opposition to Elon Musk's role in the US federal government isn't it. FactOrOpinion (talk) 20:00, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
- Maybe redirect to Political activities of Elon Musk or Views of Elon Musk? cookie monster 755 09:50, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
- My guess is that it makes most sense to create a section about it in Public image of Elon Musk and redirect to that. Maybe I'll create a short section about it later today. FactOrOpinion (talk) 17:24, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
- I like either Political activities of Elon Musk or Public image of Elon Musk better than the "Views" article. This is about how people view him, not about his own views. WhatamIdoing (talk) 23:06, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
- OK, I ended up adding text about it to Political activities of Elon Musk § United States. I also discovered that President Musk redirects to Éminence grise § Historical examples, so that should likely be retargeted as well. FactOrOpinion (talk) 03:22, 5 March 2025 (UTC)

Retarget to Elon Musk.Keep. He is president of the Musk Foundation so it's been a legitimate title before the recent events. -- Tavix (talk) 17:46, 4 March 2025 (UTC)- That's the current target, and nobody uses actually uses a title like "President Musk" as a way of addressing the head of a private foundation. WhatamIdoing (talk) 23:05, 4 March 2025 (UTC)

- That's the current target, and nobody uses actually uses a title like "President Musk" as a way of addressing the head of a private foundation. WhatamIdoing (talk) 23:05, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
- Most readers who are searching for President Elon Musk are not doing so because of his private foundation, but because of his new role in the second Trump administration. Sources [2][3][4] referencing it in association with his role in the US federal government, not because of his private foundation. cookie monster 755 17:33, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- To all involved @Tavix, CookieMonster755, FactOrOpinion, and WhatamIdoing: Precisely because of this, I propose the speedy deletion of this nonsense. Perhaps when he's actually president of something, in the near future I assume, this discussion could be up for debate again. Bemloko ᴬʰᵒʸꜝ✉ 06:27, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- The question is whether "President Musk" / "President Elon Musk" / "President Elon" are used as search terms often enough that they're useful redirects, and if so, what the target(s) should be. In the last 3 weeks, President Musk was used 101 times, President Elon Musk was used 45 times, and President Elon was used 13 times. A Google search on one of the first two terms pulls up ~5M results. I think it's worth keeping them as redirects (and that Redirect Views tool pointed out that "President Elon" is another redirect to include in this). I added relevant text to Political activities of Elon Musk § United States and think that makes sense as the target for all three. FactOrOpinion (talk) 14:31, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Bemloko: Elon Musk is 'actually' President of something: the Musk Foundation. This is established in the infobox at Elon Musk. Also, this redirect does not meet any of the criteria for speedy deletion. -- Tavix (talk) 10:53, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
- Tavix, it is extremely unlikely that anyone in the US uses "President So-and-so" to address the president of a private foundation. That might be a thing in other countries, or in an old institution that has more theatrical traditions (although 'Mister Chairman' would be more likely), but I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that he's addressed as "Elon" or "Musk" (sans honorific) in board meetings.
- More relevantly, as Cookie says, nobody looking for information about "President Musk" is looking for anything about his private foundation. They're looking for information about his role as an unelected bureaucrat. WhatamIdoing (talk) 17:49, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- If someone's looking for Elon Musk's role as a bureaucrat, they can find that information at his biography... -- Tavix (talk) 10:53, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
- The question isn't where someone can find information, but what people are most often looking for when they search for "President Musk" / "President Elon Musk" / "President Elon", and I agree with cookie monster and WhatamIdoing. The most frequent context for people using these terms outside of WP (in statements, in memes, in editorial cartoons, ...) is in connection to his political activities. FactOrOpinion (talk) 22:16, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
- It's simply a title for Elon Musk so it should redirect accordingly. It's the same reason why eg. President Biden redirects to Joe Biden and not Presidency of Joe Biden. -- Tavix (talk) 15:25, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- It's not "simply" a title. It's a snarky, derogatory title making a political comment on his role in government. WhatamIdoing (talk) 17:38, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
- Is that a fact or opinion? -- Tavix (talk) 18:01, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

- Retarget to Political activities of Elon Musk § United States. Also retarget President Musk and President Elon to that section. All three terms are most often used by people referring to Musk's very significant role during and after the presidential transition in Trump's second presidency, calling Musk the "President (elect)" / "co-president" / "shadow president." This was also reflected in memes, editorial cartoons, and a Time magazine cover portraying Musk behind the Resolute desk. FactOrOpinion (talk) 16:32, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
- Keep per Tavix - the people opposing him would have more of a point if this were targeted to something specific to his role in the Musk Foundation, but the current target covers both possible uses so is fine as is. * Pppery * it has begun... 20:17, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
WeakDelete since the term/title "president" in such a redirect notably refers to the leader of a country, and its use in any other fashion is unlikely as a search term and in utility in general. However, in weak since ... I get where Tavix is going with their "keep" vote ... it's not necessarily inaccurate.Steel1943 (talk) 01:27, 14 March 2025 (UTC)- FWIW, as I noted above, there have been ~150-160 combined searches on President Musk / President Elon Musk / President Elon just in the last 3 weeks (the precise number will vary with the date of the search). FactOrOpinion (talk) 17:17, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, and IDGAC per my rationale. Sounds more like an excuse for some fictional fandom to claim Musk is taking over as USA president (which I am not sure on whether or not he is eligible for anyways.) Steel1943 (talk) 20:44, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
- You've misunderstood. It's not being used by fandom (as a call for what they'd like to see in the future), perhaps because he's not eligible, but by critics (who've suggested that Musk is in charge and Trump is Musk's servant, as can be seen in the many editorial cartoons, memes, and quotes in MSM of its use). As for the use of "president" as a search term and in WP articles, it's used in various ways: president of a country, president of a corporation, president of a legislative body, president of a university, president of a club, class president, etc. But its general use isn't the primary concern in this case; the appropriate concern here is what someone searching on "President Musk" / "President Elon Musk" / "President Elon" is trying to find. FactOrOpinion (talk) 20:46, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- "Misunderstood"? Nope, I don't necessarily agree with any other uses of the term "President" that do not coincide with my previous comment for the very reason I stated. There are probably more redirects that do not adhere to my view: This one here is just the one we are currently discussing. Steel1943 (talk) 22:17, 22 March 2025 (UTC)

- Steel, I don't think you're applying the proper rationale here. I think FactOrOpinion is spot on: if something is a plausible search term, even if an inaccurate one, policy says create a redirect. Whether or not you like that people are calling Musk "President Musk", the fact is that people are and people search for that term. Teddy Roosevelt didn't like the nickname Teddy. And yet a redirect exists. pbp 19:30, 4 April 2025 (UTC)

Not mentioned at target; some information exists at Vasco Rossi#Controversies but I am not sure this is sufficient for a retarget, considering how incidental this is to the musician who is the topic of the article. 1234qwer1234qwer4 12:09, 4 April 2025 (UTC)

Both this and Follow da Leader are not mentioned at the target page (and quite frankly, I'm shocked that this absolute banger does not have an article!). Launchballer 14:30, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
- Delete
or create an articleI’ve yet to look into the notability of Nigel and Marvin (a music duo only tangentially related to the target) or Follow da Leader (a song by Nigel and Marvin) but if they are notable, an article should be created for Nigel and Marvin at the very least. Or, if no article is created, I’d say delete both. I’m also going to list Follow da Leader at this RfD since you said it was not mentioned at target. Plant🌱man (talk) 17:50, 17 March 2025 (UTC)- Listed Follow da Leader -- Plant🌱man (talk) 17:56, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
- Nigel and Marvin don't seem to be notable, so delete that. I think "Follow da Leader" should be retargeted to Follow the Leader, a disambig page. Plant🌱man (talk) 22:26, 17 March 2025 (UTC)

- Delete both: "Nigel and Marvin" for the reason above, and "Follow the Leader" because we typically don't have redirects replacing "the" with "da" (see We da people). 𝚈𝚘𝚟𝚝 (𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚟𝚝) 13:29, 29 March 2025 (UTC)

- MilkShake → Pornnappan Pornpenpipat (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
This was previously an article about a Thai girl group, which was recently merged as a result of this AfD to one of its former members. I have since moved the article history to MilkShake (group) to allow discussion over MilkShake as a redirect. I think, and some in the AfD also expressed this concern, that the redirect is potentially confusing as the camel-case WP:SMALLDETAILS here isn't enough to identify the topic since an article no longer exists for the girl group. Maybe this should be retargeted to Milkshake (disambiguation) or just deleted. Paul_012 (talk) 03:04, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Refine to Pornnappan Pornpenpipat#2013–2019: AF10, MilkShake and Debut as an actress (which is where the prose about MilkShake is) and add a hatnote to the dab page (retargetting to the dab page is my second preference). None of the other entries on the dab page use camelcase nor seem particularly likely to be thought of as using camelcase, so I think the SMALLDETAILS are sufficient in this case to establish a primary topic but the link to the dab page is needed. Whether you agree with the SMALLDETAILS or not, this is and will remain a plausible search term so deletion would be actively unhelpful, especially as the current target doesn't appear on the first two pages of search results. Thryduulf (talk) 11:08, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- My position is that Wikipedia search has been case insensitive for who knows how long now. Anyone typing in directly into the address bar should probably know what they're doing. --Paul_012 (talk) 14:21, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
- The internal search engine is only one of the ways people use to navigate Wikipedia, some methods are case sensitive and we cannot assume that anybody using any particular method knows whether it is case sensitive or insensitive. Thryduulf (talk) 14:33, 6 April 2025 (UTC)

- Refine per Thryduulf. I've MOS:BOLDREDIRECTed the destination page and I think a hatnote should address the other concerns. Carguychris (talk) 14:59, 6 April 2025 (UTC)

Redirect created from the sentence at Main Page. I think delete, or retarget to Help:Introduction or Help:Editing (or retarget to main page because this sentence originated from there) Justjourney (talk | contribs) 00:19, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Retarget as per nom, or to Wikipedia:About or Help:Getting started or Help:Introduction to Wikipedia Oreocooke (talk | contribs) 02:04, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Retarget to Help:Getting started to match Wikipedia:Welcome and Wikipedia:Welcome to Wikipedia. While the titles of Wikipedia:About and Help:Introduction seem like better matches, I think the content at Help:Getting started is actually the most useful place. - Delete: no real purpose, and unlikely someone would type this directly. thetechie@enwiki (she/they | talk) 17:23, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Delete as implausible; even if a reader – for whatever reason – was to copy this phrase from the main page into the search box, they would most likely not expect to find anything under such a page title. 1234qwer1234qwer4 17:33, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- delete. just about any target would be surprising in one way or another (especially the main page and wikipedia), since whatever absolute comedian decides to search this could reasonably be expecting any of the pages mentioned above. oppose a dab for the same reason, but weak support on an article on the funny text that goes under article titles.

There isn't just one cluebot, see here. Maybe retarget to that page? Justjourney (talk | contribs) 00:13, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- As the page you pointed to says, only cluebot NG and cluebot III are not defunct. The former is the anti-vandal reverting bot, the latter an archiving bot. To the extent that anybody uses WP:CLUEBOT, if naive, they probably want NG; if experienced, they probably want the target that it has gone to for over 10 years, i.e. NG. Hence I think it should remain redirecting to cluebot NG. -- R. S. Shaw (talk) 03:35, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Keep. We should always be extremely cautious about retargetting shortcuts to avoid breaking (linked and unlinked) references in discussions, edit summaries, etc. and while this doesn't have many incoming links, R.S. Shaw above explains why the current target remains the one most people will expect. Thryduulf (talk) 11:12, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Keep per everyone above. thetechie@enwiki (she/they | talk) 17:24, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Keep, Cluebot NG is by far the most well-known of the Cluebots, and the only one (besides Cluebot III) which is not defunct. It’s most likely what someone’s looking for with this page, especially non-experienced people who likely don’t know what Cluebot III is. ApexParagon (talk) 15:06, 10 April 2025 (UTC)
