Our Admin Election Test
Hello there. As we're preparing to move from one stage to the next, this is just a quick note from one member of the test group to another, wishing you well in the process of this new alternative to RfA. It seems that there are more of us in this group than some in the community anticipated, so i hope that doesn't make the experience any the worse for all of us. Whatever our individual results, i thank you, along with the rest, for stepping up and testing this process; happy days, ~ LindsayHello 07:21, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you Lindsay for the kind message. I wish you the best in your nomination as well! Spy-cicle💥 Talk? 22:40, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
Admin election question
Hi, I posted a question on Wikipedia:Administrator elections/October 2024/Candidates/Spy-cicle near when the discussion phase was closing, so you might not have seen it. If you want to(since all questions are optional), you can answer it here. I am excited to see which new administrators this trial election will bring. Ca talk to me! 12:02, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Ca, yes unfortunately I was not able to answer your question due to it being close to the deadline. To answer your question areas I am involved are areas where I have !voted, taken a side on a content dispute, etc. I don't think I can provide an exhaustive list of every area I am involved. Invitation to participate in a research
Hello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .
Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind Regards,
WMF Research Team
