Daisy Bell

Hi, you reverted my edit in Daisy Bell because it is unsourced. The source is the book itself, which I read. What further source are you looking for?Ladypine (talk) 15:53, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I guess it's this edit. The sourcing problem is actually WP:SONGTRIVIA, because simply saying "it was in x" does not provide any context or commentary on why it is notable. This is a common problem in song articles.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 16:10, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Jackson Fandom

Recently attempted to update the MJ Fandom Page detailing all of the countries with a notable fan community there. It’s exceeded 183 countries, however i need help with the formatting of the page. Could you perhaps step in and fix it? Never17 (talk) 17:21, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'll have a look.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 18:39, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) Wow I'm practically in a trance already! Martinevans123 (talk) 10:16, 8 February 2025 (UTC) p.s. I've never tried to live with a llama, but it's probably safer than trying to keep mountain goats (like my uncle Denis)[reply]

I like this audio clip, because it is a rare chance to hear Cyril Hoskin's Lobsang Rampa's voice. Anyway, I will look at the fair use rationale.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 10:37, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Indonesian example of the Streisand effect

Hello, I added a whole new example of the Streisand effect on the list of examples of the Streisand effect Wikipedia page (Example from Indonesia), and you removed it. May I ask why? I wouldn't bother taking time to write all of it if it wasn't completely true and definitely fit the Streisand effect. I'm from Indonesia myself so I know the story. I've added citations to strengthen my example. I need a clear explanation as to why you just deleted the example. I suggest you take a close look at what I've written. I'm sorry if this sounds rude to you. A Dennis S (talk) 15:48, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This was reverted earlier today at Streisand effect with the edit summary "Unsourced notability grasping". Maybe that is putting it a bit harshly, but there is some truth in it. The key thing that I have explained in the edit summaries is that the consensus is that new examples should be added only if the sourcing mentions the Streisand effect directly, which it doesn't here. In line with the BOLD, revert, discuss cycle, you should discuss this at Talk:List of Streisand effect examples to ensure that there is a consensus for adding it.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 16:01, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Bond girl For Your Eyes Only

From your revert yesterday, I included the image of her because she played the romantic lead opposite Roger Moore; I chose an image from 1990s as being closer to the time of the film which seemed to make sense. The article seems to lack images in general and possibly you might bring this one back. ErnestKrause (talk) 15:55, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's ok in Carole Bouquet, but it has limited relevance in For Your Eyes Only (film) because it was taken many years later and does not have any direct link to the film.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 16:03, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds ok. On a separate question, Mick Gold and myself do not seem to have the experience to deal with the image question described at the bottom of Talk:Girl from the North Country. With you experience with images, is there a chance you could help sort out getting one of those images there into the Infobox of that article? ErnestKrause (talk) 23:47, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
