Dunkirk

Template:Infobox military conflict see here,

result – optional – this parameter may use one of two standard terms: "X victory" or "Inconclusive". The term used is for the "immediate" outcome of the "subject" conflict and should reflect what the sources say. In cases where the standard terms do not accurately describe the outcome, a link or note should be made to the section of the article where the result is discussed in detail (such as "See the Aftermath section"). Such a note can also be used in conjunction with the standard terms but should not be used to conceal an ambiguity in the "immediate" result. Do not introduce non-standard terms like "decisive", "marginal" or "tactical", or contradictory statements like "decisive tactical victory but strategic defeat". Omit this parameter altogether rather than engage in speculation about which side won or by how much.

The Germans were besieged and surrendered at the end of the war, not because they were attacked. Please read the guide. Keith-264 (talk) 20:43, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Battle Of Orlau-Frankenau moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Battle Of Orlau-Frankenau. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because inline citations are required to support any claims made in an article per WP:INLINE. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of wars involving Poland, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bohemian. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Citations

Hello! Thank you for your contributions to List of wars involving Poland, though I do want to address two things.

When it comes to the age of your sources, per WP:AGEMATTERS and WP:SOURCE, it obviously isn't great to use old sources. I figure that you've understood by this now, however I just wanna give a tip, I really don't recommend using any source before the year of about 1980 or 1990 (which is at least what I go by).

As for formatting, please don't just put in links and call it a day. If you're not allowed to instantly convert from a link to a proper citation, please take your time and fill out the "Manual" section. And always ensure that you've provided a page number, because a source may be quite tricky to fact check without it.

Thank you! Setergh (talk) 17:51, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
