Not done while they are accurate, Ted's religion isn't worth adding categories for per WP:Overcategorization#Non-defining characteristics when it doesn't appear to be a trait he prominently is noted for (at least compared to political activities or family affiliations). Can you mention he had the shortest natural lifespan of his siblings (as in He obviously lived much longer than his Brothers and sister Kathleen but out of the 5 Kenendy to die from natural causes he had the shortest lifespan) 2A00:23C5:FE33:2801:E8A6:6384:3B68:B24 (talk) 21:38, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done the notion of a "natural lifespan" sounds like awkward phrasing, plus this is trivial detail to begin with. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 22:41, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Novelty recording: Convention '72 by The Delegates

Notice he was approached by McGovern regarding the Democratic VP nomination in 1972. The recording depicts Ted Kennedy as some sort of superstar waiting in the wings; in its use of popular-song excerpts, it uses spoken "I am the Magnificent" in reference to Ted Kennedy, but as we well know, he'd had the Chappaquiddick incident by then.

The song using "I am the Magnificent" is Double Barrel.

I replaced the image with the free alternative; though looking at it now that might've been a mistake. The image is dated to 1963 (or when JFK was president) but the section is explicitly about his pre-Senate career (or pre-1961). I suppose the caption could be changed to better reflect this, but this one may not be a simple find-and-replace. John Kinslow (talk) 08:45, 16 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Mary Jo

Ted absolutely is the sole reason that Mary Jo Kopechne is dead. The circumstances surrounding this incident are very odd. I do not see that anywhere but it feels like it should be largely included. ~2025-32290-48 (talk) 01:24, 9 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You do not see the name "Mary Jo Kopechne" in the second paragraph of the article, or the entire section Ted Kennedy#Chappaquiddick incident? – Muboshgu (talk) 01:40, 9 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

In the second sentence of the second paragraph of this article, please clarify that he was elected to the Senate in the special election. E.g. change "...to fill the vacant seat..." to "...to fill the vacant Senate seat..." Oncetherewasabear (talk) 07:24, 21 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
