Acetic anhydride as a precursor for heroin
Should that be the precursor? Morphine actually is, and I would think Ac2O perhaps should be in the reagent category? Lindy (talk) 22:46, 29 March 2017 (UTC)

Precursor chemicals → Precursor chemicals (drugs) – The current title is overly broad and ambiguous. In chemistry, the bare term "precursor chemicals" may be used to refer to any starting materials used in general chemical synthesis.[1] The term is often used to refer to explosive precursors as well. The article specifically addresses precursor chemicals in the context of illicit drug manufacture. Soumyapatra13 (talk) 14:12, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- Rename to the former name Drug precursors as WP:NATURALDIS (reverting an undiscussed move from 2021) and redirect Precursor chemicals to Precursor (chemistry) with a hatnote. * Pppery * it has begun... 15:47, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
