• Oppose the first move. I don't think it is likely someone searching "Hyeseong Kim" wouldn't want the MLB player, as it's not a very common way of rendering a Korean name. Even outside of that, on Namuwiki "김혜성" is the MLB player and "김혜성(배우)" is the actor. Weak support the second one, I don't particularly care but it wouldn't hurt. • Support both moves. I think it's likely that South Koreans who know of the baseball player and are familiar with how most South Koreans are named on the English Wikipedia would search for "Kim Hye-seong", expecting to find him. • Oppose moving the baseball player. I don't know why he is being called "Hyeseong" in English as opposed to "Hye-Seong", but he is, and that's unusual enough that I don't think there's much chance for confusion. There's also the matter of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Although premature, the baseball player is beginning his career on one of the biggest teams in MLB, and if you look at ko.wikipedia (which does have disambiguation), he is, as of recent times, getting much more than the actor. I imagine once the season begins, this will be pretty consistently the case too. --Quiz shows 19:15, 25 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  To my knowledge, most current South Koreans don't actually put hyphens in their names. That's more of 20th-century practice by Westerners writing about Korea that has stuck around in the Western press and academia. Per WP:COMMONNAME, the practice sticks on Wikipedia.
