Tautology

"AI chatbot" is not a tautology. [1] There are plenty of non-AI chatbots. For examples, see Chatbot#Early_chatbots. Polygnotus (talk) 13:49, 11 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The AI of those early chatbots was rudimentary if compared with modern AI, but it was same idea: emulating a human conversation as best as the code allows for. The point still stands. Also, in the context of the essay, it's clear that "chatbots" means moden chatbots, the ones a user may have access to. Cambalachero (talk) 14:37, 11 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No, early chatbots were simply rule-based, without any AI involved, not even rudimentary AI. I made at least 2. Polygnotus (talk) 14:40, 11 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

New Discord server + Women in Latin music now open

Hi there! A belated happy new year to you! First let me say, wow! We now have over 150 members!! We've grown a lot since the Latin music project became its own WikiProject 14 years ago!! Anyways, I wanted to bring your attention to two things: 1) We have collaborated with WikiProject Latino and Hispanic heritage to have our own Discord server! It can be found here! We have our own dedicated music channel on the Latinos Discord server. 2), Women in Latin music is now open as its own taskforce!! Thanks for the consensus from from the WikiProject talk page!! Both of these are entirely optional, but I just wanted bring these to your attention. Anyways, again happy belated year and let's make this year even bigger!! Subject area expert / due weight?

The thing is I don't think a blog publication on its own demonstrates due weight to the specific piece of opinion. e.g, many people have very differing opinions on slop, what makes one more worthy of mentioning than another? 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 13:32, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:BLOG: the page format is irrelevant if the writer is noteworthy on his own right. As for the page, the "about" sections says that's basically what they do: "True to the tradition of public intellectual engagement, The Philosophical Salon is a place where contemporary thinkers can discuss today’s crucial issues. Edited by Michael Marder, The Philosophical Salon’s mission is to bring together leading intellectuals from across the world in a single forum where their reflections on things that matter to us all can be heard." As for D'Isa, the writer's description says "Francesco D'Isa (Florence, Italy, 1980), trained as a philosopher and visual artist. After his graphic novel "I." (Nottetempo, 2011), he has published novels such as "Anna" (effequ 2014), "Ultimo piano" (Imprimatur 2015), "La Stanza di Therese" (Tunué, 2017) and essays for Hoepli and Newton Compton. Publishing director of L'Indiscreto, he writes and draws for various magazines and his works have been exhibited in art galleries in Italy and abroad".
